Nitrocellulose (NC) Plant, 2010- 2011, Cikupa, Tangerang-Banten, West Jawa.

Nitrocellulose (NC) is the most hazardous material ever in the chemical term. In free environment, the dust or small particle of NC are very inflammable and can become fire source, safety and mechanical detail design of this plant must be strictly comply to OSHA standard.

Platindo was  trusted to design and build all machinery and supporting equipment for the plant, they are:

1.  2 sets of special process tank, 5 tons capacity each, 7.5 HP variable speed special agitator.

2.  2 sets of drum lifter, 200 kg capacity, hydraulically operated complete with specific chute for NC  feeding.

3.  Fire protection system, using Nitrogen, foam and water sprinkler.

4.  Explosion Proof electrical system, grounding  standard and electro static protection.

5.  Humidity control, in the storage and production area.

7.  Fully explosion proof lighting and loading hardware.

8.  Hydrant system around the plant.
